Palomar Amateur Radio Club STEM Modernization Project

PARC Modernization Project

The 2022/2023 PARC Modernization Project was conceived and led by Charles Ristorcelli NN3V (SK) and currently is led by Glen Christensen AI6RR. The project emphasizes updating the existing site assets with new digital and remote access and control capabilities.

It started with the Club's successful ARRL grant request. The proposal was accepted by the ARRL in late 2022 and the Grant funds were received in early 2023.

About the Project

The Modernization Project is structured as a multi-year effort and is conducted by over a dozen Club member volunteers. The effort is meant to improve access to the site's resources for members and to enhance public awareness and education of Amateur Radio in general

The main project goals have been achieved and those capabilities are in daily use.

The initial efforts are just the start of the project. The Project has become an ongoing Club effort that will be maintained, improved and enhanced as time goes on.

What is Being Done
