These are the SDRs that are used in the PARC STEMLab. This selection of SDRs provides different band coverage and experiences for our users. More units will be added in the future to extend the STEMLab's capabilities.

Airspy HF+ Discovery - HF and VHF SDR

The Airspy HF+ Discovery SDR is a high-quality compact USB dongle.
It provides coverage of the HF bands from 500 kHz to 31 MHz. It can also receive from 60 MHz to 260 MHz.
The STEMLab has two of these in the HF Bench that cover the amateur HF bands.

RTL-SDR Blog - Wideband SDR

The RTL-SDR Blog's version 3 SDR is a very low-cost but surprisingly capable SDR.
It can provide coverage from 24 MHz to approximately 1766 MHz (or more). There are two of these for VHF and above coverage in the Experimentation Bench.

FlightAware Pro Stick - an RTL-SDR optimized for UAT & ADSB

The Pro Stick is based on the RTL-SDR dongle. It can best receive from about 600 MHz to approximately 1.2 GHz. FlightAware has optimized the device for UAT and ADSB reception. It is installed in the Experimentation Bench.

KiwiSDR - Wideband Full HF Band SDR

The Kiwi SDR is a popular self-contained wide-band HF SDR. It provides simultaneous coverage from 500 kHz to approximately 30 MHz. The KiwiSDR is accessed through the in-built OpenWebRX server via a web browser.
